How to Care for Your Premium Pickleball Paddle

A premium raw carbon fiber paddle is an investment in your game. To ensure it continues to provide maximum spin and pop for as long as possible, you need to take care of it off the court.

1. Clean the Carbon Fiber Face

Over time, ball dust and plastic residue build up in the microscopic grooves of a raw carbon fiber face, reducing its ability to generate spin. Use a carbon fiber cleaning block (often called a paddle eraser) once every few weeks to scrub away the white residue and restore the paddle's grit. Use our paddle eraser, with easy link to buy from.

2. Avoid Extreme Temperatures

Never leave your paddle in the trunk of a hot car. Extreme heat can soften the resin and weaken the honeycomb polymer core, causing the paddle to delaminate (where the face separates from the core). Similarly, extreme cold makes the paddle brittle and more susceptible to cracking.

3. Protect the Edge Guard

The edge guard protects the internal core from moisture and impacts. If you are prone to scraping your paddle on the ground while digging out low balls, consider applying a strip of edge guard tape to prevent scratches and structural damage.

4. Use a Paddle Cover

Always keep your paddle in a neoprene cover when it's in your bag. Keys, water bottles, and other items can scratch the raw carbon surface, ruining the texture.
